Founded in 1981, Florida West Ballet is a program for talented, young dancers interested in furthering their education in classical ballet. Our members are selected each year through auditions and represent several counties in the Tampa Bay Area.

Florida West Ballet is a not-for-profit corporation founded exclusively for education and charitable purposes, to promote and develop dance and the fine arts. The students currently train under the artistic direction of Ms Dusanka Gradiski Ivanova, Artistic Director and Ballet Master.  Under her tutelage, all of the young dancers in Florida West Ballet receive the finest training available.  Florida West Ballet provides some of its members an opportunity they otherwise simply may not have.

Florida West Ballet's dance program is a premiere dance program.  Many alumni of this program continue to pursue their dance careers with prestigious professional companies such as the New York City Ballet, the Pittsburgh Ballet, the San Francisco Ballet, the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Miami City Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet.  Others join exclusive full year training programs such as the Harid Conservatory and the North Carolina School of the Arts, and major university dance programs.

Florida West Ballet raises the funds required for its scholarship program through a variety of means: annual fundraisers, public and private monies and from dancer’s various fundraising events throughout the year.  These funds alone, however, are not enough to completely support this marvelous program.

Florida West Ballet invites you to participate as a Pas de Deux Sponsor.  In return for your tax-deductible donation, you will receive a photograph of the dancer you sponsor and invitations to our performances, during which you can see first hand the exceptional talent of these young dancers.  Additionally, our performance programs will carry your name as a donor contributing to the success of Florida West Ballet.  Finally, your donation will help to ensure the continued health of a vibrant art environment in our community.
